Hey guys, Happy Holidays!

I have a new computer with Windows 7. I was able to load 882-9-1-04-c but I cannot get the comm port to work properly. I have a 882B and am using an USB serial port that worked fine on XP.

What should I set the comm parameters to or is 9600N81 work properly?

Any help is appreciated.

I hope everyone is doing well.

You dont need to configure the port setup, the program does that.

You do need to tell the program what com# that the USB adapter came in on, this can be determined by looking at the lpt and com ports in the
control panel->system->hardware->device manager.

As for windows 7, in some instances serial devices are not permitted to function unless the program has admin privilege.

I have no idea what microsoft was smoking when they created that "feature".
