Guys,
I need some help with setting up a GM 4-wire stepper type idle control. I have the 4-wires connect to A31-A34 and I set it up just like the Delco 4-wire idle control document on motec site.

By toggling the polarity between 0 and 1, I can see the valve goes between fully close to fully open and vice versa. At this point, I assume the ECU can properly control the valve.

Here is where I have problem. No matter what value I throw in on the initial position table, the valve didn't seem to do anything, it stays either fully open or fully closed depends on the polarity setting.

Any idea what I may have done wrong here?

the motec document I referred to is this...
http://www.motec.com.au/filedownload.php/V15%20Delco%20Idle%20Stepper.pdf?docid=2448

The valve I'm using is a bit different than the delco one but I assume they works the same way.

This is the GM valve I have...
