Lsx, guy named Dwayne in Calgary.

Your main fuel number or whatever it's called....

Is there a guide of what to use for what injector and displacement?

I think he has 42s or 60's (don't recall at the moment) and 427 cubes.

Just so I understand, is it a theoretical number that you would need to satisfy fuel demands at 2.5 bar and peak airflow? So you could see numbers bigger than available duty cycle??

Thanks!
Toma

Hi Toma, yes, I believe that I sold Dwayne 60 .lbs Fuel Injectors.

Yes your are correct, when the injectors are correctly sized for HP & RPM, the Main should be the PW at 85% duty cycle at MAX engine RPM.

Yes, when Boost is LOWER than 265 KPA, your Main could be higher to allow for full range of the MAP sensor.

You should give me a call.

Ok, I think I just confused myself. So we don't actually use 2.5 bar (maximum boost of supplied map sensor), we use whatever boost the customer is planning to run?

Am I thinking right? Omitting density drop due to temperature rise and estimated VE for the moment,
(427cubes x 6500 rpm)/(2x1728) = 803 cfm

803 cfm x .076#/cf= 61#/min

61 x ~1.6 pressure ratio = 98#/min

Assuming 12:1 af ratio,
Say we take 98/12 = 8.1 #/min x 60 = 488 #/hr fuel. Divide by 8 injectors = 61 #/hr per injector required.

So in our case, that is more or less 100% duty cycle, at 6500 rpm, that would be 18.5ms?? And that would then be our Injector Main Adjustment?

Wrong? Right? Close? lol ;)

Thanks,
Toma

Hi Toma, yes, you have the correct idea.
