MoTeC. Version III Training

At the 2005 PRI Trade Show, Motec unveiled their newest software package for tuning engine's using the M400/600/800 ECU's called "Version 3".

This software is a radical shift in the fundamental way that Motec operates its ECU controls and requires extensive knowledge of all parameters used in setting the sensor selections and calibrations, as well as the theory's used in actually tuning the engines.

Our new Motec V3 class consists of a total of 2 days and focuses mainly on classroom discussions dealing with properly setting up a Motec M400/600/800 series ECU with the latest Motec Windows based software.

Motec requires all dealers and resellers of the new V3 software to attend this class.

By EFI University partnering with Motec, we have ensured that you will understand what is needed to tune & set up an M400/M600 or an M800.

This class begins with a general overview of the basic functions and theory involved in controlling an engine using electronic fuel injection.

An In depth discussions about each sensor and actuator used, and their functions are held throughout the session with emphasis on interaction between students and instructors to ensure that everyone understands each concept before progressing to the next.

Special emphasis is placed on properly tuning & setting up the channel definaitions and calibrations for each sensor used on your Motec system.

From there, the class will cover concepts such as, when to select various methods for calculating engine "efficiency" and "load" parameters, among many other important tuning topics!

Each student will recieve a 100+ page Motec Version 3 textbook to keep for reference when they leave, as well as a certificate of completion of the course to display in their shop at home!
