Anyone have any interesting links etc... on this subject? The general info I can find is that keeping exhaust gas temps high after leaving the turbo or cylinder head keeps gas speed much higher.

Thoughts?

MY work relates to an EVEN increase of heat "seen" in the Turbo Exhaust header, the increase at the "exhaust housing" being greatest then working back to the head.

When a "red" spot is seen in the middle of the tube (first), then work was done in that area leaving less work to spin the Turbine.

As for gas speed with heat, less work being REMOVED is better.
Thus a "wrapped" tube would have a LOWER temperature differential.

Just remember not to melt your tube header.
