Hi, I've got a problem on Evo's antilag setup, hope somebody can help me out!
It only works at this small zone

I've talked to a guy over here, and he says AEM's can't really control antilag (rally style, to keep pressure from falling between changes), and the firmware has to be "updated". Any more info on this? I've got 4 evos waiting for this stuff, as I inherited the problem from another tuner...

thanks!http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3650/3507271380_cd84893303.jpg?v=0

I've never been able to get the ALS function to function on the AEM EMS. Come to think of it there a lot of things in the EMS that don't work as advertised, or don't work at all!

We now use real ECUs for real race cars.

Great... Been told there have been some ECUs sent to AEM, to convert 2D antilag maps into 3D, and then they do work!!!
Must see the car that had this done, and check it for myself...

There are some threads on evoM

A couple of shops listed in there.

I had tryed the ALS. Opened the throttle for some %, configured the ign retard and cut at low throtle openig in specific rpm window. Ok now it makes crash boom bang, but does not build some boost. Another comic funktion is, that the als is deactivated until you are moving the car. So everything you get on the place is the problem, how should i regulate the idle ? If the throttle is 5% open my car revs 2000rpm and the only thing it can affect is rev fuel-cut on idle.

So my question is: How can i control idle when my throtle plate must be opened for antilag function ?

By fuel-cut rev-limiting, that's the way it works on N group Evo for example.

I've been using the AEM anti lag for years. The rally style antilag uses the Idle Air Control motor/solenoid in combination with the standard style of antilag. Then there are variables you can adjust for when antilag kicks on based on TPS, VSS, Engine Load, and switched inputs. Usually I use the clutch and brake switches for the switched inputs.
Then the basic idea is dump alot of fuel and ignite it after tdc. This way it burns primarily in the exhaust rather than in the combustion chamber. So instead of the pressure rise spinning the engine, it will want to spin the turbine in the compressor. But you have to make sure you have enough air for the turbo to compress. You can set up a seperate solenoid to let extra air in, if the IAC doesn't allow enough to make antilag possible on decel.
