|
|
I am helping a friend with his turbo air cooled VW with an Redline ECU.
Here is the info:
ECU.EXE Revision 1.00.19 06/30/03
Controller Firmware V2.00.17
Controller Serial# 2108
Is this the latest software / firmware for this?
What capabilities?
Thanks,

This is not the latest.
Also you didnt mention which ECU you have, a 882B or 422B.
The difference is the number of injectors and coil drivers.
You also would need to know how the trigger has been setup, it could
be setup for HALL or VR input depending on needs.
That version of firmware/software lacks a few features that the current version has.
The new features are:
Wideband input scaling for the narrowband input.
Feature to use RPM in the fuel cut algorithm.
Ability to zero/scale TPS.
Ability to run an MS3.X CAN stream to a dashboard.
If these features are not important you are fine. |

The ECU case has no labels, but I think it is the 422B. It has 4 injectors and a distributor connection. Main harness connector and MAP on one end and the serial connection and LED on the other end.
We are getting ready to dyno it next week so we might as well get the latest software/firmware before we start. |

Hi Allen, yes, I would be very happy to do the "firmware" upgrade for you at no cost if you could bring the '422B to Pantera EFI.
My suggestion is that you bring your Laptop and I will install the GUI .exe file for your work.
I may also be able to provide some tuning tips.
