Hi Jeff, good to know you have good baseline.

One test you may want to try is to increase Spark Plug Gap.

My memory is that you have fitted the IGN-1 coil.

What is your current plug gap AND dwell ?
Do you increase dwell (coil energy) when the NOS is implemented ?

I don't recall off the tip of my pea brain what the dwell is, but I can check it. I will also double check the plug gap, but I think that I am running .025".

What do you think that you would recommend for each?

Hi Jeff, if you have fitted quality spark plug wires and boots, set the plug gap @ .065".
With the ECU-882, we can increase the dwell from you current setting to 6ms when the NOS is engaged.

Thus you could retest with these changes and report.

I know that the IGN-1 coil will provide the needed spark energy.

Decided to go a different route with the car. I have "temporarily" removed the nitrous and am almost done with the turbo conversion. Hope to be on the dyno any day now...

Thanks!

Also, I think I forgot to mention that the initial tune netted 463 hp with 20 lbs of boost. I am pretty optimistic about how it will perform once I crank it up! Twisted Evil

Hi Jeff, good work.

How much power can your ALT Belt transfer ?

My New PMG ALT/PMM would be an easy upgrade.
At this time of testing is has an output/input of 6.5KW

Hi Jeff, looks like fun, glad to know your car ran well.

The Log Manager (LogMan.exe) may not be up to date with the newer Comms speed of 38.8K Baud.

I so, it will not communicate.

Provide the .exe file date ?

Lance,

So... what specifically do I need to do to make the logger work again?

I sent you a pm with my cell phone number. I am working on the car this morning and then heading to the track this afternoon. I am raising the boost to see what it does. Twisted Evil Racing starts at 5pm, so if you get this message in time, maybe call my cell number and we can walk through a fix? IF it needs to be sent in, I can do that after this weekend.

Thanks!

Jeff

A dyno pull from Saturday afternoon...

I'm pretty happy with that pull, especially since I backed the timing off 4 degrees while playing with more boost and did this one with only about 18psi.

Also, this is with a Mustang dyno and using no smoothing on the graph.

Cool

Data logger working again! Very Happy

Not sure how it happened, but somehow on both of my laptops, I must have moved some files around. All files pertaining are now in one folder and I created desktop shortcuts to them. I can access, clear and arm the data logger from both laptops again!

Thank you Lance for the help!

Cool

Hi Jeff, could you post you Coil Dwell (MAP Dwell Change) used with my IGN-1 Coil ?
Could you state your Max Dwell at WOT/Max Boost/Max RPM ?
