It looks pretty likely I'm going to be building an engine and have it mapped here in the UK before sending it to Oz where it will be fitted and run as is.
Spec is nothing outlandish, 2ltr, turbo, circa 360bhp.

My question is over fuel, the way they measure it over there and Ethanol %.

Here in the UK we have 95 RON with approx 5% E, if I get it mapped on this do you think it will be ok on Australias BP Ultimate 98 fuel or Shell V-power 98?

I'm kind of thinking about the difference in measuring fuel octane rating, MON v RON etc.

Any help or advise?

Thanks.

Our 98 is RON
e10 fuel is 91RON + ethanol

I think e"85" (From memory those testing it have found between 70-90% ethanol) is 91RON + ethanol

I can not find the TDS for BP unleaded 95 but I believe it also has zero ethanol content

May I advise you have the engine mapped in Australia.

I would definitely suggest some data-logging&dyno runs once in Oz, to check knock activity and final AFR.
