Performance Tuner -
Job Description:
Vivid Racing is looking for a Performance Vehicle Tuner to handle all ECU tuning that is done at our facility. Some of the vehicles we do ECU Tuning for include: Subaru, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Porsche, BMW, Audi, Mazda, and others. The ECU Tuner would need to be able to do the required ECU Tuning using our all wheel drive Mustang Dyno and software systems we use. ECU Tuning requires understanding and knowledge of performance vehicle engines, turbo and supercharger systems, air/fuel charts, timing maps, software systems, and other key components to properly tune for a safe and powerful vehicle. Some ECU systems are done via OBDII port flash and require only loading the file from the manufacture.
In addition to handling customer vehicles, we highly encourage participation in online communities. Online forums are a great place to inform customers of our services, our past successes, our R&D, new software systems, current project cars, and give feedback to those who have questions in regarding to tuning. 90% of your business will come from these communities. While working with clients, you will be able to establish relationships to help provide them with a better path to modifying their vehicles.
Job Functions:
ECU Tuning, Dyno Operation, Vehicle ECU Diagnostic, Online Community Interaction, Sales, R&D, Product Testing, Product Support.
Required Skills:
At least 2 years experience in ECU Tuning or dealing with ECU software. Must have complete understanding of different vehicle systems and functionality. Tuner must have great communication and organizational skills. The ability to multi-task and problem solve in a professional manner.
Additional Information:
ECU Tuning and Dyno Operation can be dangerous. The Tuner must be always aware of what is going on and the long term affects from his actions. Vivid Racing inconjunction with the Software companies does have further training offered. This includes the use of AEM, UTEC, ECUTEK, COBB, Softronic, OCT Tuning, and others.
Compensation: Base Salary $35,000 to $45,000. Monthly Bonus Available. DOE.
Full Time/Part Time: Full Time
Benefits:
Health and Dental Benefits after 180 Days.

We have been in business since 2001.
Compensation: Base Salary + Incentive Plan for reach goals. Full Time.
Benefits: Health and Dental Benefits after 180 Days.

| i guess they mean in regards to not blowing up any engines or breaking transmissions after the dyno session with too much of an aggressive tune! It's all fine on the dyno in a controlled environment, but real world is a whole different story.. |

Exactly what I was thinking lol
@ an easy 2 cars out the door per day, they'd be making a killing off the tuner..
35k might cover a half way decent mechanic. 35k is going to get you a second rate, 1 year of experience "has potential" tuner.. _________________ http://www.dkGoodrich.com
