I'm in need of the software setup options for raising the boost cut level on a 93-96 WRX
MAP signal is intercepted in Analogue input/ output #3 and set in the software.
i'm using a stand-alone boost controller, but hitting boost cut at the stock 16PSI

You need to clamp the output of the MAP and/or MAF sensor. Not sure about your particular application. In the software you will open the Fuel Control window and the Fuel Output tab in that window. There is an option for Fuel Load Clamp %, play with that value to limit the output range that the stock ECU will see from the factory map sensor. This will keep the ECU for going into boost cut. Again, there may be a redundant boost cut feature with the ECU looking at MAF value as well. _________________ Haltech, AEM, Apexi PFC Sales, Installation, Tuning

Cheers for that.
Yeah the Subie uses MAP only for boost cut.
the old trick with a stock ECU is to use a One Way Valve to stop the MAP sensor from seeing any boost, or use a bleed valve to limit the pressure that it sees from the manifold.
but needing the MAP for load calculations with the interceptor means you can't do this.
thanks heaps

| Hi finally learned to use the search button hehe, I was interested on this too... How to?(actual values) and also if you are using the MAP sensor as a load source, then I think the clamping limit cells should be richer so that when actually seeing higher pressure you dont lean out because you're using the lower pressure (clamped) cells, am I right? If I'm right then I guess you should richen enough to be safe on higher pressure but not so much so you dont loose much power when you see the actual clamp limit pressure cells right? |
