EFI-102

Advanced Tuning Concepts
Dealing with more complex ECU set-up parameters!

EFI 102 consists of a total of 1 day and focus mainly on classroom discussions while incorporating live tuning demonstrations on a Mainline dynomometer.

This year's EFI-102 class will be formatted differently as we will have had several speakers talking about different and exciting subjects!

Ben Strader from EFI University will be talking about using In-cylinder pressure measurement and analysis equipment to test and tune engines and optimize the cylinder to cylinder and cycle to cycle variations in order to get maximum performance and safety. This equipment can also be used to accurately identify engine knock, as well as finally provide a 100% certain way to calibrate a knock listening device for a given engine combination.

He will be introducing a new product to the marketplace that will make this technology easy to use and affordable on a level that almost any serious tuner or shop can afford! Access to this kind of information about what is happening inside the engine was previously only available to very high-end race teams and OEM manufacturers.

Todd Lewis from Mainline Dynolog will be coming from Sydney, Australia to speak about using their equipment to get the maximum amount of information about the engine while tuning on their dyno and will demonstrate these concepts on the T1 Racing Mainline AWD Chassis Dyno.

Using the latest software from Mainline Dynolog will enable the customer to get real BMEP and VE numbers in order to determine what parameters of engine performance can be affected by ECU tuning, and what things will require hard parts modifications. This setup will be using the real-time fuel flow measurement turbines on Tony's dyno to correlate fuel flow to power production and collect useful data for the class to interpret and learn from.

Todd will also be discussing in-depth exactly how the chassis dyno gets data from a roller to your screen and all the calculations involved with displaying a power number in the real world! Some myths will be dispelled about how and why a chassis dyno actually works and why it is valuable to you!

Paul Yaw from Injector Dynamics will also be a keynote speaker and will be once again discussing the real world operating characteristics of solenoid based fuel injectors.

Not only will he be adding new information to his now famous presentations, but for the first time ever he will be displaying the information live with his fully instrumented Mazda that includes a variable voltage regulator on board to show the actual in-engine fuel flow effects of injectors at various battery voltages and also a variable fuel pressure regulator that allows him to adjust both fuel pressure and battery voltage to show the "worst-case" scenario and just how scary the tune-up in your engine can get when the ECU does not have the proper injector characterizations.

In all, this one day class will be the most informative, power packed seminar we have ever produced and combines a remarkable team of experts from EFI University, Injector Dynamics, T1 Racing, and Mainline DynoLog that is rarely found in one room at the same time!

Don't miss out on this opportunity to get in on the ground floor for some of the latest breaking news and information in EFI Tuning Technologies. Be there, or be left behind!

Because of the equipment needed for the class (Tony's 8 second Acura Integra!), the EFI-102 class will only be held at T1 racing in Rowlett, Texas. This class is only held once a year, so sign up today and reserve your seat!

Who Should Attend?
This class is very well suited to those who already have some experience with basic engine tuning and are interested in learning more about safely tuning your own racing EFI systems.

Typically racers, younger tuners, students, mechanics, and general performance enthusiasts will enjoy the benefits of attending an EFI 102 Class. The class is very important for anyone who wishes to get the most benefit from an advanced "Racing" level ECU.

What else do you get?
When you register and attend the EFI-101 class, you'll also receive...

  • EFI-102 Certificate of Completion - Signed and ready to frame.
  • Exclusive Access to the Student Forums - Access to professional advice on any technical EFI issues.
